Andre Kan is a Toronto based painter. Since graduating from the Ontario College of Art & Design University in 2014, he has continued his creative pursuits as an Artist, Photographer, Curator, Producer, and Musician. His paintings have been showcased throughout Canada, with permanent collections in the U.S and China. His exhibition of new work, “Levels”, is presented by Project Gallery (1109 Queen St E) and runs from April 7th – 23rd, 2017.
“LUMINOUS” is a collaborative exhibition featuring artists Anser and SoTeeOh, where the dark street scenes of SoTeeOh’s urban landscapes act as a backdrop for the infamous one-liner face portraits of graffiti artist Anser. This exhibition is presented by Project Gallery and runs from November 10th – 20th, 2016 at Project Gallery (1109 Queens Street E).
Brian Harvey is a contemporary Toronto artist, currently residing and working in the city. He has training from Seneca College, Sheridan College, Toronto School of Art, the Art Centre at Central Technical School, and has completed a BFA from OCAD University. He has been painting and exhibiting for over a decade and his work can be found in public and private collections across Canada, the United States and Europe.
Project Gallery recently presented two solo exhibitions of work by contemporary painters Colin W. Davis and Ki Sung Koh. Davis’ series, titled ‘The Grove’, featured earthy still lifes that contained a sacred serenity. Koh’s work, ‘Way of Life’, showcased intricate, raw and fascinating portraits of creatures in the animal kingom. Both artists compel the viewer on a unique exploration into the natural world, while examining a deeper sense of the self. The exhibitions were on display from June 16th to July 3rd, 2016 at Project Gallery (1109 Queen St. E).
Colin W. Davis is a Toronto-based painter. He is a graduate of the BAA Illustration program at Sheridan College.
Ki Sung Koh was born in South Korea and moved to Canada in 2006. He now lives and works around Toronto. Koh received a BAA in the Illustration program from Sheridan College in 2012.
DIVERSIONS was a duo exhibition of works by Ravinder Rai and Sebastián Benítez, curated by Devan Patel. It was a Featured exhibition within the 2016 Toronto CONTACT Photography Festival, and was on display from April 28th to May 15th, 2016 at Project Gallery (1109 Queen St. E).
Ravinder Rai is an emerging visual artist based in Toronto, Canada. He is currently completing a BFA in Photography, at Ontario College of Art and Design University. In 2014 Rai participated in the Artscape Gibraltar Point Residency on Toronto Islands. He has also interned at Stephen Bulger Gallery in Toronto, Ontario.
Sebastián Benítez is a visual artist living in Toronto, originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Sebastian completed his BFA at Ontario College of Art and Design University and has shown at exhibitions internationally.
Laura Hudspith is a Toronto-based sculptor and installation artist whose work features molded and slip cast objects accentuated by readymade objects and materials, electronics, silicone and taxidermy. She holds a BFA in ceramics from Concordia University, Montreal. Hudspith has exhibited her work and participated in artist residencies in both Canada and the United States.
